Several parcels of land in Sandown have been sold at auction.
News of the parcels of land coming up for sale last month were met with concern by Sandown residents.
Sold for £62,000
Paul Heather from Charles Darrow Auctions got in touch today (Thursday) to explain,
“The lot just been sold at our auction for £62,000.”
What’s been sold?
The pieces of land to the north and south sides of Jeals Lane and Sandham Close, Sandown, had been unexpectedly inherited by a family who didn’t know they owned the land until recently.
The land is situated in and around Sandham Close, Perowne Way, Stower Place and Halford Close. There are numerous parcels of land with development potential including those adjacent to 7 and 15 Sandham Close, 60 Perowne Way, 196 Perowne Way and an area of approximately 1.2 acres in Stower Place.
It’s not yet clear whether the parcels of land were bought by a property developer, private individual or other organisation.
