As mentioned a couple of weeks ago on VB, the Ventnor Town Council (VTC) recently considered the revised application for the development of Beachlands on Ventnor Seafront.
The previous applications had been refused by the VTC, as was this revised version, on the grounds of over-development and not within keeping of the conservation area.
The public have until the end of Friday (1/1/10) to submit their comments on the application for the demolition of the existing building which has sat empty for many years and is proposed to be replaced with four town houses.
Revisions highlighted by agents
Some people who had objected to the previous applications have been contacted directly by the agents for the developer, who draw their attention to changes that have been made to the application.
These include items such as reducing the pitch of the roof from 45 degrees to 30 degrees and changing the ground floor windows, adding railings and shifting the parking to the back of the development.
