Well deserved congratulations are due for five home educated children from the Isle of Wight who last week won the South West Regional heat of the Toyota Technology Challenge.
The challenge was to design and build an environmentally friendly model vehicle for a chance to win up to £1,000 in cash, trophies, certificates and, for the best of the best in each category, a 6 day trip to Greece.
The five 13 -16 year olds, all members of the Isle of Wight Learning Zone, managed to wow the judges enough at the regional finals last week to win themselves a place at the National finals taking place on 15th May in Derbyshire.
