Readers may remember the story of Kathryn Clarke. In 2011 her life changed in a split second.
Whilst driving, she swerved her car to avoid the bird, missed the bird, but as she describes, “went head-on through a wooden telegraph pole then hit a tree”.
The consequences were life-changing, leaving Kathryn with brain and neck injuries. She has defied the medical odds and now hopes to be able to help others through the formation of the Kathryn Clarke Foundation.
The ‘wrong-handed make-up selfie’
Kathryn is right-handed, but after the accident can no longer use her right hand, so has had to learn to do everything with her left.
The Foundation has just launched a campaign for raise funds and awareness and are hoping that OnTheWight readers will take part.
Kathryn says,
“I would love you to join me and do your make up with your less dominant hand. This takes me around an hour.
“The deal is you have to stay with that make up ALL DAY, whether at work, on a date etc. If asked, explain why and hopefully get a few more joining in.
“Men also welcome!”

Once you’ve finished putting your make-up on with your less dominant hand, post the picture to your Facebook wall as well as the Kathryn Clarke Foundation wall along with a donation of £2 to PayPal account and nominate three other people.
