Are you embarrassed in front of the neighbours when they see those stubborn global warming stains on your Eco-Island image?
Fed up with waiting for the head of your community to do those household chores you’ve been asking them to do, like letting you put up wind turbines?
Need to stop your home getting washed away by more extreme weather?
Forget the old greenwash!
If you want a solution you can rely on for outstanding results and to really get your environment coming up green and smelling of climate-friendly roses, then you need to get your greens green again!
Seriously though, perhaps we just need to do something more for ourselves.
Lots of us have done things individually to reduce our impact on the climate. And lots of local communities are doing their bit to make a difference. But after the Council’s Planning Committee rejected the Cheverton wind turbine application on Thursday 3 December perhaps it’s time to do even more.
Not all parts of the Isle of Wight Council are as grey as the Planning Committee.
And there are lots of other organisations that are trying to do something.
How about more of us supporting them and getting involved?
Here are just a few, in alphabetical order:
- Eco-Island Supporters Group – email [email protected]
- Footprint Trust
- Friends of the Earth
- Greening Campaign
- Green Tank
- Green Towns
- Island Climate Care
- Island Turbine Action Group
Don’t let’s wait for the Planning Committee to help our Island go green – let’s GIY and green it for ourselves
