This from Barry Watkin, East Cowes. Ed
Residents in East Cowes hit again, despite being nearly five miles away from ‘the Festival‘!
Many parking restrictions have again appeared on the narrow streets.
Apparently they are to assist busses carrying those up to the Festival site. And for some reason the main roads they normally use are not adequate for them to ‘turn around?
Hit once again
So locals will have to find alternative sites to park up and again, take care and put up with noise, etc! Just after their getting over the main road closure and ferry traffic being encouraged to use side roads.
Interestingly restrictions only start from 0700 Thursday morning, so the thought of lots of ‘pyjama’ locals running around moving their cars is slightly worrying!
Good for some
Oh well at least some are profiting/enjoying it and as for East Cowes? A bit of a ‘double jab’ for them?
Signed ‘grumpy old git!’ …. now where can I park my car?
