Houston, we have a problem.

Most people who voted for ‘change’ were hoping that that change would be change for the better, not for the worse.

A credible plan for growth?
Demanding 10% cuts in capital spending across all government departments doesn’t seem like a credible plan for growth.

Similarly, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza whilst supplying the means to continue the wanton destruction doesn’t seem like a credible plan for peace.

One wonders if the assisted dying bill is really being introduced as a means of reducing NHS waiting lists and saving money.

Other news from Westminster. I’ve done nothing wrong, which is why I’m repaying the £6,000 of freebie’s I recently received.

How can trust be re-established in politics?
The overarching question is, how can trust be re-established in politics when the political rhetoric coming from our Government at every turn seems so corrupted?

Perhaps the only positive given the way things are deteriorating globally, with the threat of nuclear Armageddon, is that we won’t need to waste our money on Pure Cremation being pushed daily on TV.

So with that thought, I’m off down the pub instead.
