Letter: There’s never been a more important time to have politicians of unquestionable integrity

Rishi Sunak is perfectly correct to stress the importance of integrity, professionalism and accountability in politics, which is why I am surprised our ‘tech savvy’ Prime Minister managed to mysteriously lose all his WhatsApp messages on his mobile phone ahead of the Covid Pandemic Inquiry.

It’s often during times of a national and global crisis the real qualities of a person are revealed.

Half a sausage BBQ
Here on the Island, we witnessed, in my view, how Bob Seely demonstrated zero consideration for the safety of constituents during the Covid-19 pandemic.

We all recall thousands were dying during a time when there was no vaccine. The law was very clear, ‘YOU MUST STAY AT HOME’, nevertheless Mr Seely took it upon himself to journey across the Island to the now infamous ‘half a sausage’ Seaview BBQ.

We need politicians of unquestionable integrity
With our world facing increasingly turbulent times there has never been a more important time to have politicians of substance with unquestionable integrity.

Regretfully, Bob Seely in my opinion falls far short of what is required, which is why I shall be voting for a different candidate, and Political Party, in the forthcoming General Election.
