Tomorrow (Tuesday) a committee meets in Westminster to decide on allowing fracking to take place in National Parks, AONBs and through underground aquifers.
Yes, these were all promised to be protected areas, but that was a Tory promise.
In view of the importance to the Island, our MP, Andrew Turner, was alerted to the importance of this development and his response was:
“The details of the committee’s meeting, to review new fracking regulations has been added to Mr Turner’s diary and depending on other Parliamentary duties, he will do his best to attend.”
Good to know our Island MP is fighting hard to preserve clean water supply, natural beauty and healthy environment!
