Live and Local returns to The Venue at Ryde Theatre tonight for a summer season of six events.
Previously known as Making Waves, but now named Live and Local (after the IW Radio show that interviews with the bands are played on), the slot tonight has three great Island bands.
Step forward The Kurves, Hugo Frusslinky and Soul Tone.
We understand that as before the bands will be recorded playing live, interviewed and the recordings go out on Glynn Taylor’s Live and Local Show on Sunday nights between 7-10pm on IW Radio (102/7fm).
It’s only £3 to get in so great value (£1 a band!) and it’s brilliant to see the theatre being used on Friday nights again.
The theatre needs to make money to survive and the only way to show the council that you want it to stay is to go along to gigs and support your local music scene.
