We’ve had a call this morning from Susie asking if we can put out an appeal for a lost watch.
Her mother, Mrs Herbert, visited Ventnor on Saturday night and somewhere between parking on the esplanade and the Spyglass Inn she lost her wrist watch.
The watch, which we understand does not have any particular financial value, was given to Mrs Herbert on her 18th birthday by her father.
It was one of the only things that he’d given her and he died soon afterwards, so obviously has great sentimental value.
The watch was bought in the late 1950s, has a gold bracelet and a small face.
If you happen to find the watch or know that it has been handed in somewhere please call Susie on 07511 096 143.
