Just a reminder that tonight sees the full council meeting take place at County Hall from 6pm.
Amongst items being discussed will be the decision to move the fire control centre to Surrey after Cllr Geoff Lumley added the motion to the agenda.
Another motion being discussed is one raised by Cllr Ian Stephens, that reports of off-Island meetings are recorded and costs of travel made public.
Cllr Dawn Cousins raised a motion for the council to oppose the closure the children’s congenital heart services unit at Southampton General Hospital.
A report by the Chief Executive and Returning Officer on Community Governance and Polling Places and Districts Review 2011 is also being heard, as well as a Report of the Director of Resources on the Corporate Plan and Medium Term Financial Strategy (Paper C) and a Report of the Strategic Director of Community Wellbeing and Social Care on Isle of Wight Community Safety Partnership Plan 2011 – 2014.
