MAD-Aid invites you to double your impact in the Big Give Christmas Challenge

MAD-Aid, the Island-based charity that runs a medical aid delivery programme to Moldova, is calling on supporters to join them for the Big Give Christmas Challenge.

Taking place from 28th November to 5th December, the challenge offers the chance for your donations to be doubled.

Paul Revert from MAD-Aid said,

“We are excited because MAD-Aid has been chosen to participate in this once-a-year nationwide appeal, which is the UK’s largest match-funding campaign.

“For seven days, when someone donates to MAD-Aid through the Big Give Christmas Challenge, that donation is matched.  So, £50 from a member of the public, becomes £100 for MAD-Aid. Donations on Big Give can be completed from anywhere in the world but they must be made in GBP. “

One donation, twice the impact
Paul went on to explain what they are currently raising money for,

“We are raising money to renovate the neonatal unit at the Mother and Child Institute, the main children’s hospital in the Moldovan capital of Chisinau.

“The neonatal unit hasn’t seen any significant upgrade since 1986, and is in a dilapidated state, with tiles falling off the walls, dangerous wiring, outdated equipment, and a ventilation system which hasn’t worked in decades.”

Donations to the neonatal unit renovation project via the Big Give Challenge will be matched for seven days from noon on 28th November until noon on 5th December 2023.

What do you need to do?

•    Add a calendar reminder to your diary for noon on 28th November (#givingtuesday), including this link: Help MAD-Aid renovate a hospital and save babies.

Have your card details ready when you make your donation.

NOTE: the donate button will appear on the campaign page when the Christmas Challenge launches at noon on 28th November.

If you intend to donate more than £500 please follow these instructions before 28th November 2023.
