Thanks to ‘Reject Apathy’ for this opinion piece supporting ‘Yes to AV’ tomorrow – Ed.
I don’t like the way that Politics works in our country.
I’m sick to the backteeth of all of these people who push themselves forward to rule over our lives and by getting out and voting Yes to AV tomorrow, I think this is the only chance we’re going to have to start to change the way the country is working.
Opposers have misled us
The way the opposers have mislead us in their campaigning shows exactly why we need an Alternative. First they told us it is complex. How insulting.
It may be shocking to them to understand that we can count beyond one, or that we have the ability to decide who we like more than others.
You can still only vote for one person under AV
They’ve hidden information from us too. Did you know that under AV you can continue to vote for just one candidate if you like? It’s true. You aren’t forced to select other choices.
As that’s the case, I say, why not give AV a go. It’s can’t be any worse.
I don’t think it’s perfect, but something’s got to be better than the way that things have been in our country for years.
Vote ‘Yes to AV’
For that reason I’m going to make the effort to get out and vote ‘Yes to AV’ tomorrow.
Anything that makes MPs work harder to keep us happy, relying less on their party and more what the have done for their voters, sounds good to me.
Luckily, tomorrow there’s a chance for us all to have an Alternative.
Vote ‘Yes to AV’.
