A 48 year old man from Brading who admitted setting fire to some of his girlfriend’s clothes was given a 12 month community order by Magistrates last week.
A report in the CP revealed that the man had taken some of his girlfriend’s clothes into the garden and set fire to them.
The 12 month order also includes a domestic abuse course, and the man was fined £45 and a £60 surcharge and £80 costs.
The CP says that in addition, he faces a two year restraining order to stay away from Station Road, Brading, as well as to make no contact with his former partner.
