Dear Residents,
For the last 6 years Ventnor has been my home. Since I am standing in this by-election I think it only fair for you to know what experience I bring with me that I could use as a Ventnor Town Councillor.
Prior to coming to live on the Island I worked for 25 years in multinational companies in marketing and project management roles.
I have been lucky that Ventnor accepted me into its community and that I have been able to contribute to various projects for our town.
Over the last few years I have worked with others to establish life-guard training which has led to Ventnor having for the first time in the summer season paid, full-time lifeguards. I have continued to work with others to ensure Ventnor could apply for a Blue Flag Award for 2008. A number of requirements had to be satisfied including re-cycling bins and an Education Programme. We will know in May if we have succeeded.
With your help by voting for me on the 13th December 07 it will enable me to work on YOUR behalf on the Town Council. It will only take a few minutes for you to vote and in return I promise I will work hard for you and our town.
