Readers may remember back in early 2011 the Isle of Wight Mathematical Society was formed.
The idea of the society was to bring together those with an interest in mathematics through regular meetings with guest speakers. After a break in meetings at the end of last year, the group is being revived later this month.
The Speed of Light, a limiting velocity
The event will be run as a discussion group sharing knowledge, opinions and exploring misconceptions on the topic, ‘The Speed of Light, a limiting velocity?’,
Taking place at The Stable at The Castle Inn, top of Newport High Street from 7pm on Thursday 22nd March.
Get in touch with Paul England on [email protected] if you intend to go along so he can have an idea of numbers (no pun intended).
Once you’ve confirmed whether you’re going, he will email you a podcast to listen to which the group will be discuss at the meeting.
