A driver taken ill whilst behind the wheel of a car ended up making an unexpected detour on Monday morning.
The CP are running a report that a Toyota Carina ended up in the foyer of the Tesco Extra supermarket in Ryde at 7am on Monday morning.
A photo posted anonymously to the All New Spotted Isle of Wight Facebook page shows the car in the foyer, where it apparently ended up without causing any damage to the car or supermarket.
The CP say the female driver in her 70s was not injured, but admitted to St Mary’s Hospital who were unable to give further details of her condition.
