This Saturday brings with is a chance to meeting Isle of Wight author, Jo Cooper, as she presents a pre-release book signing of her second book, ‘A Red Sky’ at The Museum of Ryde.
The story is set in 1940 and we discover ten-year-old Lindy is evacuated to the Isle of Wight by her father, who stays in Portsmouth as an Auxiliary Fireman.
Lindy comes to ‘Littlebridge’ where she meets Reggie who is the same age. We follow their adventures as the war rages around them.
Jo researched the various incidences that occurred during the period culminating in the massive raid on Portsmouth on 10th January, 1941.
A Red Sky written as a book for children, but enjoyed by adults.
