The Met office have issued a severe weather warning for Ice.
The warning is valid from 1700 on Sunday until 1000 on Monday.
They say,
Ice is likely to form on untreated surfaces, especially where rain, sleet and wet snow has fallen during Sunday. The public should be aware of the risk of difficult driving conditions and slippery surfaces which will last into Monday morning.
Island Roads confirmed earlier today their gritting teams will be out on the roads this evening and again tomorrow morning from 5am.
They also offer the following advice,
Have your windscreen looking clear in the morning before you set off, Highway Code 229 drive safe. pic.twitter.com/p6ODEzYBiF

In icy weather drive particularly slowly on bends. Brake progressively on straight before you reach a bend, then steer smoothly round it.
