The Isle of Wight is expected to have heavy rain for most of Saturday, according to a Met Office weather warning.
Valid from midnight until 9pm on Saturday 31st December, the warning reads:
Outbreaks of rain are expected across the area during Saturday morning and afternoon before dying out from the southwest after dark. Some heavy bursts are expected at times, bringing as much as 10mm in an hour, and with the ground already saturated this is likely to result in some surface water flooding and travel disruption.

- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
