The Met Office have issued a severe weather warning for heavy rain on the Isle of Wight this week.
The warning is valid from 1300 to 2100 on Tuesday 7 Jun 2016
It reads,
Heavy, thundery showers will turn locally torrential with the risk of hail on Tuesday afternoon and evening across parts of England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Whilst most places will miss the worst, please be aware of the risk of localised flooding.
Warm, moist air from the continent will be made more unstable by a system coming over it from the Atlantic, bringing the risk of 20 mm or more in an hour and 50 mm in a few hours.
