Police appeal for help in tracing missing Isle of Wight man
Police on the Isle of Wight are appealing for the public help in tracing a missing 55-year-old Cowes man.
Officers and the family of Jonathan Paul (“Jon”) Roberts from Park Road in Cowes are becoming increasingly concerned for his safety.
Jon walked out of the home at around 11.30am on Saturday, 11 December.
Jon is thought to be depressed following recent bereavements in his family.
He has been missing once before and that was for only a few hours. He has now been gone for 3 days.
Searches and enquiries on the Island have so far failed to locate him and there is some evidence to suggest he may have gone off the Island and be in the Southampton area.
Officers are now asking anyone who thinks they may have seen Jon or knows his whereabouts to contact them as soon as possible.
Anyone with information should contact the Duty Sergeant at Newport Police station on 101 or 0845 045 4545 as soon as they can.
When he want missing Jon was wearing a blue navy shirt, light blue fleece jacket with a large logo on the back which says “Boatshed Cowes” written in yellow and white, brown deck shoes.
He also had silver chain around his neck. He is 6ft tall, medium build with a scar on right side of forehead and dark hair with a full beard which is dark with some grey in it.
