Many thanks to Mark Meredith for sharing news from The Monday Group. Ed
A group of Southern Housing Group residents, known as the Monday Group, will be holding a première style screening of their film, which was entered into this years’ OSKA Bright Film Festival.
The Festival, which has entrants from all over the world, is held in Brighton every two years and takes place on 17–19 November 2013.
The Monday Group
The film itself, is centred on the Monday Group, which is a group of adults with learning disabilities, who get together once a week.
The film includes aspects of their social enterprise garden at Quarr Abbey, making the most of Sandown’s open air gym, organising their own social nights, and their partnership with Way Forward, an organisation which supports adults with learning disabilities.
Red carpet and limo
At the Island screening, stars of the film will be getting the full red carpet treatment, and will be arriving in style, in a stretch limousine.
We hope it all goes well and fingers crossed for Brighton later in the year. Ed
