Monkton Arts extends submission deadline for sought-after MA Arts Prize

Monkton Arts has announced an extension to the submission deadline for the prestigious Monkton Arts Prize.

Artists now have until Friday, 8th November 2024 to submit their work, giving participants an additional month to enter.

New venue for the Shortlist Exhibition
The extension comes as Monkton Arts prepares to host the Shortlisted Exhibition in the brand-new Mead Gallery. The gallery is set to provide an impressive space for showcasing the works of talented artists who make it to the final selection.

This change in venue marks an exciting opportunity for artists, allowing their work to be displayed in a fresh, contemporary setting.

Prizes for adults and children
The MA Arts Prize offers substantial rewards. The first prize for adults is £1,000, with second and third prizes of £500 and £250, respectively.

Children can also participate, with a chance to win a first prize of £100. Second and third prizes include £25 and a selection of art materials, encouraging young artists to develop their skills.

Entry fees and submission guidelines
Adults can submit their entries for a fee of £15 per submission. Meanwhile, children can enter free of charge, with a limit of three submissions per entrant.

The extended deadline provides additional time for artists to refine their work, making this an ideal opportunity for both seasoned and emerging talents to showcase their creativity.

A platform for artistic talent
The Monkton Arts Prize continues to be a key event in the local art calendar, celebrating and promoting creativity across all ages. The extended deadline and new exhibition venue promise to make this year’s event particularly special.
