Tonight’s full council meeting (starting 6pm in the council chamber) sees a Motion submitted by Cllr Chris Welsford.
The Motion submitted under Procedure Rule 10 of the Council’s Constitution asks that, “This Council agrees that all budget proposals presented to Full Council in the budget debate on the 23 February 2011 were legal and balanced.”
We’ve witnessed on at least two occasions, the leader of the council, Cllr David Pugh claiming that the budget submitted to full council on 23rd February by the Independent Group was unbalanced and flawed.
This accusation has been refuted by Cllr Welsford, who states that the budget submitted had been approved and signed off by the Section 151 officer, Dave Burbage.
