Andrew Turner is asking Islanders to let him know about any problems they are experiencing with reception of BBC TV or radio problems.
The Island’s MP has been invited to meet the BBC Director of Distribution, Alix Pryde tomorrow (25th April) and wants to take advantage of the opportunity to raise with him any issues or problems that Islanders have. Mr Turner has already been contacted by a number of people who have experienced problems with TV reception following the recent digital switchover.

Mr Turner said, “This has been a protracted process and people have been required to re-tune their TV equipment more than once. I know a number of people have found the process confusing and I suspect there may also be more widespread problems than I am aware of.
“I am therefore asking Islanders who have faced problems receiving BBC programmes to contact me before Wednesday so that I can raise them with a senior BBC executive face to face and find out what can be done to sort things out. I am also happy to follow up any other reception issues that Islanders have with the appropriate organisations.”
Mr Turner can be contacted at his office at the Riverside Centre, The Quay, Newport, PO30 2QR or by e-mail at [email protected].
