Earlier this week, those travelling along Bonchurch Road in Ventnor might have noticed a new addition to the field that usually has cows grazing in it.
A bright blue Peugeot was positioned half-way down the hill missing a wheel and with a huge dent in its side.
As the photos below show, the car must have crashed through the hedge at the top of the field. It’s not clear whether any other cars were involved.
Police and IWC baffled
OnTheWight got in touch with Hampshire Constabulary who told us they have no record of the car being involved in a road traffic incident and suggested getting in touch with the council.
They too had no idea what’d happened, but Island Roads advised the car was removed on Wednesday and they were still looking into who and why it’d got there.
If you have any clues as to what happened, do let us know.
