Fantastic to hear that Islander Natasha Lambert has been named Yachting Journalists’ Association Young Sailor of the Year.
Readers will remember that Tasha (as she likes to be called) is severely disabled through Athetoid Cerebral Palsy and is only able to sail her yacht, the MissIsle, controlling everything by mouth using a single straw through a ‘Sip & Puff’ system.
In 2013 she sailed across the English channel as well as round the Island the year before – raising funds for the RNLI, Isle of Wight Scope and Ellen MacArthur Trust in the process.
Find out more about Tasha and MissIsle from their official Website.
