Nathan ‘Flutebox’ Lee and The Clinic
Hats off to the guys for pulling together such an outstanding lineup.
Top of the bill is Nathan ‘Flutebox’ Lee, a rising star in the world of beatboxing, who combines human beatboxing and flute-playing.
The results are awe-inspiring and totally hypnotic. Check out some of the videos below to get a flavour of what to expect.
Nathan will be bringing some of ‘The Clinic’ crew with him, including DJ Tigerstyle and human beatboxer WanDan.
DMC Champion, DJ Switch
But the line-up doesn’t end there, also on the bill is the outstanding DJ Switch, three times World DMX Champion and six times UK DMC Champ.
How did he get to become six times UK champ? Because he’s been playing around on the decks since the age of 11.
Working his way through several championships along with his crew Bionic Stylus has resulted in residences in Nottingham’s deepest underground club Stealth or Leicester’s most upfront student night Filthy Beats as well as playing Glastonbury and Bestival.
Reeps One
Some of you will remember our video of Reeps One (tbc) at the first Brighton White Air Extreme Sports Festival.
He’s been beatboxing since the age of 17 and won the Vauxhall UK Beatbox Championships two years in a row (2009 & 2010) and on 1st July, he’ll be heading over the water to take part in the Scorpion Sounds event.
Island support, natch
Island Hip Hop nuts will already be familiar with Ambush Tactics and DJ Wills O Steel. They’ll be rubbing shoulders with rest of the lineup and providing the Island support.
We hear there’ll also be another guest DJ, but organisers are keeping that one quiet for the moment.
They have early bird tickets for just £5 (a bargain!). On the night it’ll be £7 before 10pm (or with a flyer) or £10 after 10pm.
