Readers may remember last year that nine year old Charlie Brett had her locks cut off an donated to the Little Princess Trust.
We hear that another Islander is planning to do the same later this year, but this time it’s a lad.
Eighteen year old Nathan McGinty from Cowes is currently willing his hair to grow as quickly as possible.
He plans to have it all cut off in May and donate the hair to the charity that makes wigs for children who’ve lost their hair due to chemotherapy and other treatments for cancer.

Nathan also hopes to raise £500 for the charity at the same time.
