History buffs out there should be interested in this latest news from the Isle of Wight Council’s Museum of Island History.
As part of Adult Learners Week, the museum is offering free entrance this Saturday for all to see some of their new acquisitions.
Thanks to some very generous donors, a number of archaeological finds are now on display in the museum including a 13th century silver brooch, a Bronze Age dagger, a silver spoon and a 16th or 17th century silver toothpick, which was also used as an ear scoop (pictured).
Pop along to the museum (Guildhall, High Street, Newport) between 10am and 4pm to take advantage of free entry.
