Local artist and gym member Laurence Kemp has produced a piece of artwork that is displayed in the gym at West Wight Sports Centre.
Laurence, who lives in Freshwater and has been a member of West Wight Sports Centre for two years was keen to support the Centre and offered his services to help brighten up the gym.
Keeping with local themes the painting is of a dinosaur working out with dumb bells.
Under threat of closure
West Wight Sports Centre is currently under threat after the Isle of Wight Council withdrew their commitment of grant funding from April 2015.
The Centre has an active User Group, of which Laurence is a member who are proactive in supporting the Centre’s activities and helping to communicate to the community.
