A new website has launched to compliment Brighterway’s efforts in fundraising to better support the residents of Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Brighterway is the charity for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
It aims to enhance service user and staff experience by supporting projects, improvements and initiatives brought forward from service users, staff and volunteers. Brighterway is there to be a helping hand to the community, providing that extra bit of support for projects that the NHS are not able to fund.
A useful tool supporting the charity’s vision
The website will act as a useful tool, supporting the charity’s vision to enable people to lead a brighter life through the use of fundraising and grant making for projects, helping their overall quality of life, wellbeing and independence.
With a new and improved design and additional features such as an events calendar, featuring upcoming fundraising events, the new site will make it easier for people to get involved by offering a welcoming and user friendly environment.
Recent funding successes
In a recent project, Brighterway helped to fund The Social Inclusion Group; a transformative initiative aimed at helping service users with complex mental health difficulties transition back into the community after long stays in secure care.
The funding from Brighterway has been crucial in covering costs such as venue hire and activity fees, ensuring that financial constraints were not an additional barrier for participants, many of whom live on limited budgets.
Partnerships
Brighterway has also partnered with Hampshire Forest Partnership to provide an exciting opportunity for NHS sites across Hampshire to participate in tree planting initiatives that contribute to a healthier environment.
The project allows facilities to enhance their outdoor environments, provide natural beauty, and create spaces that contribute to the health and wellbeing of staff, patients, and visitors alike.
Pride: I am very confident it will enhance our efforts to raise awareness of the charity
Phil Pride, Charity Manager, said,
“We’re delighted with the new Brighterway website as it’s far more user friendly and interactive.
“I am very confident it will enhance our efforts to raise awareness of the charity and our aims throughout Hampshire and Isle of Wight as well as bolstering our volunteering and fundraising abilities.”
