The Isle of Wight Council and the Island’s NHS have published a grant-making Prospectus that covers services for people with a sensory impairment. As part of the Island’s Care to Change initiative, the Council and the NHS are looking for a trusted partner or partners from the voluntary, community and not for profit sector.
The Prospectus offers grant funding to organisations that can help the Council ensure safe and fulfilling lives for people with sensory disabilities. The grant funding is open to organisations that can provide support and care that will be influenced by service users and carers.
Working to improve lives of the vulnerable
Organisations can bid, individually or in consortia, to deliver all or any of a number of funding outcomes set out in the Prospectus. Services should be provided by skilled specialist individuals and organisations, working together with communities, volunteers and the Council to improve the lives of vulnerable people.
Also included in this prospectus is a specific invitation to fund an organisation that can help the IW NHS improve the health and care experience of hearing impaired people affected by mental illness. This part of the Prospectus is a TEA (Towards Equality of Access) project.
