New opportunities bloom as Forever Wild at Heart secures CIC funding model

News shared by Sarah on behalf of Forever Wild at Heart. Ed

Forever Wild at Heart, a local initiative dedicated to helping people reconnect with nature, is excited to announce its transition to a Community Interest Company (CIC).

This important step will allow us to engage more deeply with our community and secure funding to keep our nature-based sessions accessible to all residents of the Isle of Wight.

Founded six years ago
Forever Wild at Heart was founded six years ago by Lizzie Boynton, whose passion for nature and community wellbeing inspired her to start offering outdoor sessions after completing her Forest School training in 2017.

What began with small Friday afternoon gatherings has since blossomed into a range of nature-filled programmes.

Creating immersive experiences that connect families with nature
Thanks to the generous support of Haylands Farm, which provides the beautiful woodland space for our activities, we are able to create immersive experiences that connect families with the natural world.

From Little Wild Hearts for younger children to Wild Heart Mamas for new mothers and Hammock Time and My Wild for adults, Forever Wild at Heart now offers something for everyone, encouraging all ages to experience the healing power of the natural world.

New directors
Joining Lizzie as Directors are Sarah Moore, the founder of Sarah’s Socials, and Chloe Cave, from Carrying and Cloth. Both bring valuable experience in community work and share Lizzie’s passion for promoting wellbeing through nature.

Together, they will ensure that Forever Wild at Heart continues to grow, while keeping its roots firmly in the Isle of Wight community.

Lizzie says,

“At Forever Wild at Heart, we believe that time spent in nature is essential for mental health and wellbeing.

“This transition to a CIC means we can strengthen our commitment to serving the local community, offering more opportunities for people to connect with nature in meaningful ways. I’m thrilled to have Sarah and Chloe on board to help us grow and reach even more people.”

Ensuring the nature connection remains accessible to everyone
As a CIC, Forever Wild at Heart will now have access to vital funding, enabling us to expand our programmes and ensure that nature connection remains accessible to everyone on the Island.

Whether you’re a family looking for outdoor adventure or someone seeking peaceful moments in nature, we’re here to welcome you.

Logo and website support
We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Katy Wade from Little Victories, who has been a huge help in designing our beautiful new logo and creating our eco-friendly website.

Katy has been a wonderful support to us throughout this process and we’re so grateful for her creativity and care in bringing our vision to life.
