Following the sad death of Brian Mosdell in October, a by-election for his seat was held in Newchurch yesterday.
There was a remarkably high turnout (44.65% ) with 982 ballot papers submitted of which 232 were postal votes.
Robert Colin Richards (known as Colin Richards) for the Liberal Democrats took the seat with 389 Votes.
He was closely followed by David Ronald Hill for the Conservatives with 377 Votes and Alistair Graham Jupe, an Independent with 213 Votes.
