The Newport Jazz Weekend is a non-profit making event aimed solely at providing a mix of jazz music at affordable prices.
Taking place between 20th-22nd July this year, the festival will feature mainland jazz stars with support by Island musicians.
A fantastic lineup has already been confirmed with world class guitarist Martin Taylor MBE as the main draw. New York-based Keith Ingham, a pianist recently described by Digby Fairweather (the Weekend’s resident artist) as “one of the best in the world” joins those confirmed.

Other leading musicians appearing at the Newport Jazz Weekend include Terry Lightfoot, Bobby Orr, Georgia Mancio, Mark Nightingale (trombone), Simon Allen (saxes), Jo Fooks (saxes), Andy Urquhart (trumpet) and Dave Sheppard (clarinet).
The Island’s own popular vocalist Edana Minghella will appear with her quintet on the Sunday.
Venues will be The Minster, St. John’s, Apollo Theatre, Riverside and Quay Arts and Fringe bands are also being arranged.
