Red Funnel have confirmed there is no accuracy to the rumours circulating that the company is going into administration.
The rumour has been discussed across social media over the last couple of days, so OnTheWight got in touch with the company that handle Red Funnel’s PR.
OnTheWight asked,
- Can you confirm if the company is currently facing liquidity or cash flow issues?
- Are there ongoing discussions with creditors or financial institutions regarding restructuring of debt or financing?
- Can you confirm whether the company has consulted with insolvency practitioners or legal experts regarding potential administration?
- How does the company respond to market speculation that it is facing financial difficulty or considering administration?
Red Funnel: No accuracy in the rumours
Without answering the questions, a spokesperson gave the following response,
“There is no accuracy in the rumours.”
We asked them to seek answers to our questions, and the response came back as,
“There is no accuracy in the rumours so that answers the questions.”
