News reaches us this afternoon that once Nodehill Middle School is closed in July 2011 it will remain as an educational establishment.
Island Innovation Trust, who will be taking control of Carisbrooke and Medina High Schools confirmed to Nodehill Middle head teacher, Mr Morris, that the premises would be used as a sixth form college for Carisbrooke and Fairlee Secondary Schools.
Welcome news for the many who feared that the building and its great facilities would not go to good use.
Mr Morris said “It is reassuring that our amazing building will be used for education purposes after the closure of Nodehill Middle School in July 2011 and that many former pupils will return to Nodehill for their sixth form education!”
