Nominations for the 48th Annual Isle of Wight Sports Achievement Awards are open

The Isle of Wight Sports Achievement Awards is an annual event that recognises outstanding achievement or service, amongst sportsmen and women of all ages and celebrates our Isle of Wight success stories.

The ceremony is presented by the Isle of Wight Sports Foundation, which promotes sport throughout the Isle of Wight and represents and campaigns for all sports and recreation clubs on the Island.

There are also many un-sung heroes
The individual sports reports published each week show that there is much to proclaim, but there are also many un-sung heroes. We would like to see as many sports and clubs as possible represented in the nominations.

Putting forward a nomination is acknowledging in public, the success that a member or team has achieved, or the contribution that a volunteer or officer has made to the progress of the club.

School awards
There are also awards for the Primary and Secondary school that has done the most to promote sport and physical activity in 2022.

Claire Beasley, chairman of the foundation, said,

“This is an opportunity to recognise the immense sporting talent that exists here on the Island and to thank all those who give so much of their time to the development and management of sport.’’

The Awards ceremony will be held at the Medina Theatre on the evening of Thursday 30th March 2023. All finalists will be invited.

Don’t miss the deadline
The nominations will be judged by an independent panel. Please submit your nominations via the Website.
