Congratulations to Peter Mansell from Basingstoke, who last month, canoed 120km around the Isle of Wight.
The task took Peter less than a day to complete and in the process he raised much cash for the Martin Booth Memorial Fund.
It took him 23 hours to complete. On canoeing during darkness, Peter told The Basingstoke Observer “This section was more mentally and physically demanding, trying to stay alert, avoid rocks and not drift too far out where the tide race might form. At 1am when I reached Sandown Bay I just wanted to land”
