Following rumours flying around Facebook that this year’s Osborne House concerts were cancelled, we got in touch with organisers.
Annie Horne from Green Eyed Events, who works with Solo to present the two day concerts each year, confirmed the cancellation.
She told VB, “We weren’t able to secure the right artists that both ourselves and English Heritage could agree on, that suited Osborne House this year. We did try, but are already working on next year.”
Last year saw Will Young and Bananarama headline the two day event held in the grounds of Queen Victoria’s holiday home, with Simply Red headlining in 2009.
We’ll let you know once we hear more about next year’s plans.
UPDATE 16:19 – The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra have been in touch with VB to reassure our readers that they shouldn’t confuse the above cancelled concert with the BSO concert at Osborne House on Sat 23rd July, which is still going ahead.
