There is great news for children at Godshill Primary School as the fundraising efforts of the Friends of Godshill team (FROGS) have this term raised over £1,000 to invest back into equipment and services to benefit the children of Godshill.
This fantastic sum is testament to the dedicated commitment and innovation of the fundraisers and more importantly to the friends and family of the school who provide unwavering support to the fundraising activities laid on.
Next up Ladies’ Night
Fundraising efforts will continue into the autumn term, some of which are open to local people, not just close friends of the school.
For example, for ladies living in the Godshill Area, there is a pre-Christmas treat in store when the school opens its doors for what is promising to be a fantastic evening out, their annual Ladies’ Night, on the evening of 18 November 2011.
There will be a range of fantastically discounted beauty treatments, stalls from big name brands such as Thorntons, Usbourne and the Body Shop, handmade jewellery and crafts made by talented local people, refreshments and a raffle with quality prizes provided stallholders.
‘New to you’ sale
On 26 November, the school will be holding a ‘new to you’ clothes and toy sale where good quality second hand items will be on offer.
It is hoped these open events will also provide an opportunity for guests to come along and get a feel for what this fantastic school has to offer.
