Residents have until close of business today to make comments on a planning application for a new arts club in Ventnor.
Exciting plans for the former NatWest bank, which has been empty since 2011, have received over-whelming support from residents.
The new owners of the beautiful 1920s building intend to ‘breath life’ back into it by sympathetically restoring the original deco features.
Inspiring events in inspiring environment
The members-only Ventnor Arts Club, which intends to become a hub for those involved with or interested in the creative arts, would have a schedule of informal events such as poetry nights, independent film screenings, live music and comedy nights.
The premises was opened temporarily during the Ventnor Fringe Festival in August to host a number of the gigs. It was easy to see how well the space would work as an arts club and fantastic to see the old bank opened up with many original features on show.
