It’s reported that the owners of 16 park home sites, including Medina Park on the Isle of Wight, have been fined by Southampton Crown Court for harassment of their residents.
The Daily Mirror states that Maurice Sines and James Crickmore of Leisure Parks Real Estate Limited, “have been making their residents’ lives miserable for years”.
Long-running problems
The news has been a long time coming for residents of Medina Park who got in touch with VB way back in 2010, unhappy with the time it was taking for the owners to be investigated.
The relatively small fine of £1,000 each might seem like a kick in the teeth to those who say they have been subjected to the harassment, and more, for years.
According to the Mirror report, Leisure Parks Real Estate Limited is still awaiting sentencing after admitting ten charges, including threatening and intimidating residents, blocking sales and cutting off water and sewage supplies.
Not unusual behaviour
If the Mirror report is anything to go by, the men don’t seem to be strangers to this kind of behaviour, with residents of other park home sites saying they had also been intimidated by the two.
Add to that a ban from the British Horseracing Authority for masterminding one of the country’s biggest ever race-fixing rings and you start to get the picture.
