Paid opportunity for young artist to lead activity at first Biosphere Festival

Brave Island has a paid opportunity for a young person (16-25) to design and deliver a creative workshop for the Biosphere Festival.

The Biosphere Festival is a weekend for local organisations and communities to come together and celebrate the Island’s Biosphere status (find out more about that here).

A day of creative activities
As part of the festival, there is a day of creative activities for the public at Independent Arts in Newport, where they are looking for someone to design and deliver one of these activities for a fee of £85.

The workshop should be a simple creative activity that you would like to deliver, supported by members of staff, this could be printing, hat-making, sculpture making, whatever you would like to offer.

Fee for your time and materials
The activity should be suitable for all ages, and relate in some way to Newport and/or nature and the IW Biosphere. There is a fee of £85 to pay for your time to plan and deliver the workshop, and a separate £50 budget to cover your materials costs.

This role has been commissioned by Artswork, as part of their Young Cultural Changemakers Programme.

The workshop will take place in the daytime on Saturday 29th June (exact time tbc).
