Residents stepping out of their houses or flats in Trinity Road, Ventnor this morning are in for an very unfortunate shock.
Around ten cars parked on the road were vandalised with white paint last night.
As you’ll see from the photo gallery below, windscreens, front and side panels of many of the cars are now covered with white paint. It’s not clear whether the paint was gloss or emulsion.
Permanent damage
Sadly, a trail of paint on the pavement between the cars will act as a permanent reminder of the damage caused.
A paint-can left at the scene may help to identify the culprits, but if you saw anything, do please get in touch with police by calling 101.
Something like this happening is Ventnor is very unusual and rare. Our thoughts are with all those whose cars were damaged.
