Elections for a new Police and Crime Commissioner took place yesterday (Thursday 5th May).
The final result: Michael Lane (Conservative) was elected as PCC for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
The count went through two stages. First and second preferences were both counted, with Lane getting a total of 152,990 votes. He received 74% more votes than the second placed Labour candidate.
Robin Price (Labour) achieved second place, gathering 87,744 votes over the two round.
