Pet Doctors set to relocate with state-of-the-art facilities

An Isle of Wight, vet hoping to relocate and expand, wants to add an operating theatre and x-ray suite after the move.

Pet Doctors currently has a practice on Spencer Road in Ryde, but increased demand and rising patient numbers mean it needs more room.

Former Milmega Ametek HQ
Planning agents BRP Architects, on behalf of Pet Doctor’s owners CVS Group Ltd, says relocating would mean vets can provide better care in more modern facilities.

The business has its eyes on expanding at the former Milmega Ametek headquarters, on Park Road in Ryde, next to the Isle of Wight Bus Museum.

The design and manufacturing company has moved to Newport.

The plans
There are plans for theatre and x-ray suites, a dentistry space, a pharmacy, clinical rooms and separate cat and dog kennels.

CVS Group also owns Pet Doctors in Newport and Cowes, as well as the Medina Veterinary Group and the Isle of Wight Emergency Vet in Newport.

You can view the plans, 23/01530/FUL, on the Isle of Wight Council’s planning register.

The public consultation runs until 6th October.
